Kristóf Várnagy studied at the Hungarian Dance Academy. He is a laureate of several national and international ballet competitions and festivals and the winner of several Hungarian professional awards and scholarships (among others, the Republican Scholarship and the Hungarian Ballet and Contemporary Dance Junior Award). During his professional years, he has experimented with various styles, from ballet through contemporary dance to circus. He has worked with companies such as the Frenák Pál Company and as a soloist with the Cullberg Ballet and the Royal Swedish Ballet. He has also debuted in the new circus genre with Cirque du Soleil and is currently a member of Recirquel.
He created his first independent choreography in 2012, followed by two more until 2014. He returned to Hungary in 2015, where he has since been involved in several independent and co-production choreographies (Badora Dance Company, Pál Frenák Company, MA-ZE, Recirquel).
