Judit Hary pursued her education in Kolozsvár (Cluj-Napoca), first studying piano at the Sigismund Toduţă High School of Music and later voice at the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy. She graduated from the music academy in 1995 after studying under Ágnes Kriza. In that same year, she was employed as a soloist by the Hungarian Opera of Kolozsvár, where she has remained ever since. Later on, she further honed her voice with the outstanding singers Adrienne Csengery, Krisztina Laki, Ionel Pantea and Júlia Kirkósa. She reached the finals of the Hariclea Darclée Singing Competition in 1995 and the Nicolae Bretan Singing Competition in 1996, and she received the Ágnes Kriza Commemorative Award in 2000.
She has been invited to perform in many opera houses and concert halls in Romania, Hungary, France, Italy, Germany, Canada, Switzerland and the United States. One high point of her career was being invited to sing at the Hungary 2000 Millennium Gala Concert with such greats as Ilona Tokodi, Dénes Gulyás, Péter Kelen, Kolos Kováts, Sándor Sólyom-Nagy, György Melis and József Gregor.
She is a member of the Hungarian State Opera of Cluj-Napoca, where she has sung her principal operatic roles: Madame Herz (Der Schauspieldirektor), Despina (Così fan tutte), Marcelina (Fidelio), the title role of Lucia di Lammermoor, Norina (Don Pasquale), Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Gilda (Rigoletto), Violetta Valéry (La traviata), Musetta (La bohème), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), Cio-Cio san (Madama Butterfly), Micaëla (Carmen), Nedda (Pagliacci), Mária Gara (Hunyadi László), Zolna (King Stephen), the title role of Sarolta, István (György Brankovics), Rose (Dózsa György) and Signora Angiolieri (Mario and the Magician).
She also frequently performs in operettas such as The Merry Widow, The Gypsy Princess, The Gypsy Baron and Die Fledermaus.
