In Brief

The Hungarian State Opera offers light operatic entertainment with intimate Mozart concerts on summer nights. The lowered safety curtain and raised orchestra pit together create an exceptional acoustic experience and an almost chamber-like atmosphere, made even more memorable by projected visuals and distinctive lighting. Through popular excerpts from the great Da Ponte operas – Le nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, and Così fan tutte – performed with piano accompaniment, outstanding Hungarian soloists bring the composer’s most celebrated characters into close, intimate focus. While the heat rages outside, enjoy the beauty and excellent acoustics of the air-conditioned auditorium of the Ybl Palace in the company of Almaviva, Figaro, Susanna, Cherubino, Don Giovanni, Zerlina, Guglielmo, Despina, and many other immortal Mozart figures, brought to life by young Hungarian singers.
