It is hereby announced that due to the COVID pandemic, the 5 November premiere of The Master and Margarita is postponed to 11 December 2020. At the same time, the Hungarian State Opera is happy to inform its audience that due to their success, further dates for the new productions of L'incoronazione di Poppea and The Imaginary Invalid or The Cabal of Hypocrites are made available.

Productions to take place as advertised at the Erkel Theatre: Swan Lake (7, 8 November), La traviata (13 November), The Nutcracker (27, 28 November). In case these performances sell out, further dates will be made available. Performances to take place at the Eiffel Art Studios: A Streetcar Named Desire (13, 22 November) with possible further dates in case they sell out. Furthermore, the new youth programmes Operencia (7 November) and Swan Lake for Children (15, 22 November) are to take place as well as An Afternoon with Éva Bátori (song recital) on 22 November.

Beside the performances at our theatres, the OperaLive series is also to continue in November and December. Four times a week, from 8:00 p.m., performances are streamed live on www.facebook.com/Operahaz from the Eiffel Art Studios. In the OperaWednesday series, highlights of cancelled opera productions can be seen. Every Friday, the Opera Chorus and Orchestra present chamber pieces in Terzet-Trio.
