In accordance with the guidelines issued by the Government of Hungary on 11 March 2020, all performances at the Hungarian State Opera are cancelled until further notice.
Earliest possible opening: 3 April 2020.
The price of tickets and subscriptions bought for performances affected by the cancellation is to be refunded in the form of a voucher by the Hungarian State Opera.
As the cancellation is the result of a vis maior (an act of god), tickets cannot be refunded in cash. Due to the emergency, all our ticket offices are closed until the lift of the restriction.
We kindly ask you to keep your tickets and subscriptions until getting your vouchers at the Opera Sales Centre. (Offer available until the end of 2020.)
The vouchers will reflect the price of the tickets, and, in case of subscritptions, depending on the number of cancelled performances. The vouchers will expire on 30 June 2021, they can be used for multiple purchases and to purchase subscritptions for the next season.
