Tamás Koczka began his vocal studies privately with Emília Baghy, then continued with Boldizsár Keönch. In 2014, he was accepted into the Béla Bartók Faculty of Music at the University of Miskolc, where he graduated as a vocal artist under the tutelage of Dr. Tamás Szüle and Andrea Csereklyei. He completed his master's degree in opera singing and vocal arts at the Faculty of Music of the University of Szeged as a student of István Andrejcsik. During his university years, he sang the title role in Zoltán Kodály's Háry János in Székesfehérvár and began working as a soloist at the National Theater in Szeged. He made his debut in Szeged as Silvio in Leoncavallo's opera Pagliacci, then during the season he played the role of Marco in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi, Guglielmo in Mozart's Cosi fan Tutte, and Count Almaviva in The Marriage of Figaro. Later, at the request of MÜPA, he took on the role of Figaro in Mozart's opera.

He has also performed as a concert and song singer at the request of several symphony orchestras.

Organized by the  Hungarian Academy of Arts, he sang Jenő Hubay's Trianon 100: Végvári dalok (Border Songs), which was broadcast by Bartók Radio. He performs baritone roles in opera galas and youth performances.

For example, he played the role of "Bagó" in Pongrácz Kacsóh's János vitéz and "Dandini" in Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore, as well as the role of "Béni" in György Ránky's Pomádé király új ruhája.

In 2022, he won third place at the Erzsébet Házy International Singing Competition and received a special award from the  Hungarian Academy of Arts.
In 2022, he reached the semifinals of the Opera di Pienza International Singing Competition in Italy.
